Barlow Theatrical Society (Barmpots)

The local Drama Group is called The Barmpots. Quite an apt name for the people who are in the group. It was originally lifted off by 'Bernie Clifton' the comedian. Who asked a few local people to help raise funds for a nearby hospice.

Barmpots actually stands for 'Barlow Amateur Repertory Musical Pantomime Operatic Theatrical Society'.

The main shows staged, are pantomime and Musical / comedy.

It is a small group of around 20 people, although it benefits the whole community. The equipment is also used by other village groups and the local school.

Tickets for the next show are available from the Box Office on 0114 2890436.
